Work is a bit boring today and it's Valentines Day, so what the hell???...I'll write a blog. Last week started pretty well, but Tuesday night I got the flu and didn't run Wenesday, Thursday or Friday. I was already signed up to run the 4 mile at the Truffle Shuffle on Sunday as part of a team for the student housing complex that I manage, so I went for a sick 26 minute shuffle on Saturday and ran three 200's to try to loosen up a bit. Then I ran a still sick 21:31 at the shuffle, which burned my freaking lungs up and made me still weaker. There is good in everything though (Well maybe not everything...I can name a few ex-girlfriends that I'm quite sure are the anti-christ, but usually there's something good in most things) because I actually dropped about 6 lbs from being sick and I'm starting to feel a bit like a runner again. Yesterday evening I loosened up by doing 1 set of 600, 400, 300, 200, 100. Then, at 7:30 this morning I ran 300m hills with my friend Conor. I went in to see my massage therapist Casey Phaigh after my workout and I told him that the hills felt a little strange and that I have a feeling that my hip might be a little outta whack. Good news though. Casey said that my hip was perfect. I guess that I just need to learn how to run normal again ;) Oh, this is kinda random.... Has anyone ever said "cool beans" to you? I personally think it's just as bad as saying "sounds like somebody's got a case of the mundays". It pisses me off. Cool Beans?? What the hell kind of saying is that? Anyway, another random note. I'm thinking tonight might just be a great night to go out. I haven't went out for a few weeks now, but think about it....80's night on Valentines Day. It's gonna be crazy out tonight. I just might have to stop acting like an old man and actually stay out past my 9pm bedtime. Yeah baby, I'm a rebel!
