Snow workout

So, it's snowing, and I had to modify my workout because of it. I just ran a 3 mile warmup, put on some XC spikes with 3/8" spikes in them and ran 1 mile 90 sec rest, and 4 x 1k w/ 90 seconds rest all on Amazon trail in about 4" of snow, then a cooldown. My calves and quads are probably more sore than any race I've ever ran and I barely even ran 6 minute mile pace! Seriously, I was running almost all out in the snow to hit 6:01, then 3:47, 3;46, 3:46, 3:48. Slow.... But I have to say, this was one of the sickest workouts I've ever ran. I'm stoked! |
