Bummed out

It's been a while since I've blogged it up on RunnerSpace.com.  This time I am a little bit bummed out.  I am planning on running in the Eugene 1/2 Marathon and being a pacer for the first 10 miles of the Marathon (they follow the same course) before I go my way and the full marathoners go theirs.  Having not officially ran a 1/2 marathon yet, I want my first experience to be a good one, something that serves to test the water a bit for the next outing.  Anyway, I'm pretty fired up for it, but there's just one problem...right now I can't run!!!!

I hit my right knee on the frame of my bedroom door while trying to get out the door for my evening run.  I ran 10 x 1k on monday and felt great.  Today I was going to do a 6 mile tempo and then 2 sets of 600,500,400,300,200.  Instead, I have a painful bone bruise and will do my best to put together some kind of alternate workout at the YMCA.  This really sucks!
